Wisdom Council
This body of no more than twenty four member is made up of parishioners who are seen in the community as bearers of wisdom, respect, and the tradition of our community. They take on the role of mentoring, educating, admonishing in love, and leading by example of the members of the larger community. One is invited by the pastor to be a member of the Council after proper prayer and consultation. A candidate must be at least 62 years of age, a member of the parish, is or has been active in the life of the community, and enjoys the respect of their fellow church members. New members are installed during ceremonies in February, Black History Month.
